VOLUNTARY SAFETY RECALL NOTICE
Magnussen Home Furnishings, Inc. Voluntary Recall of Nova Series 5-Drawer Chests

Hazard: The recalled chests are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in death or serious injuries to children. The chests do not comply with the performance requirements of the voluntary industry standard ASTM F2057-19.

Voluntary Recalled Product: Nova Series 5-Drawer Chests manufactured from August 2009 – August 2015. A label located on the back of each unit in the top left-hand corner contains the month and year of manufacture (AG09 - AG15) as well as the model number.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Nova Series 5-Drawer Chest and contact Magnussen Home for a refund. The amount of the refund will be pro-rated based on the age of the chest. Consumers are asked to provide a picture of their date code sticker (showing the manufacturer being Fortune Furniture) and remove the drawer slides from the chest for mailing back to Magnussen. Magnussen will provide packaging and prepaid shipping labels with instructions to facilitate returns. Magnussen will also offer to send consumers a free tip restraint for self-installation upon request.
